It's interesting that neither of us is looking at any of the Korean, Japanese, or German alternatives. I sat in the BZ4x earlier today and felt it was designed as a compliance vehicle. The range and charging speed aren't great. I also felt it wasn't up to the build standards as many Japanese-made cars are. My Mazda feels a lot more solid. The ID.4 felt very solid but there have been a few issues. The Koreans are good but they're too expensive. To get a sunroof you need to pay more and get stuck with bigger wheels which in turn provides less range. The Ariya seems nice.
